"I was waking up everyday dreading going to work. The only thing that kept me going was listening to the music on the radio. One day I heard the commercial for ComputerTraining.edu. I said to myself I could never do that. But I kept hearing that commercial and I finally decided to go to the website just to see if I would pass the entrance quiz. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try. I got a call saying I passed. So I went in for the info session. I still wasn’t convinced I could take on going back to school. I had no previous networking experience. The only time I used a computer was for research and email.

Work got worse and I knew I needed to make a change. So six months after my original inquiry I called up the Director of Placement and asked her what I would have to do. I was still very nervous about taking on the commitment of going back to school. I was working 60 hours a week for most of my time in school. Also, I was in the middle of helping my sister plan her wedding. I was her maid of honor. The other bridesmaids were no help at all so all the planning landed on me. Once I got started, I still didn’t think I could do it, but I kept showing up. Now, I was nowhere near the smartest person in the class, but sometimes the biggest thing is showing up. If you can remember to learn one thing per class, that is going to get you far.

I kept pushing myself to get my certifications. I also had a great teacher that believed in me and the rest of my class. I don’t think I could have done it without his motivation. I finished class, got my MCSE, but I wasn’t ready to make the career switch. I waited until mid July to really start looking for a new job. After the first couple of interviews I said to myself: What have I gotten myself into?

Then I went in for an interview with the National Fire Protection Association. They were looking for a newbie that they could mold into the employee they needed; someone that didn’t have too much previous knowledge. I knew that this was the job for me. I got the call for a second interview and gave my two week notice by the end of the week. Three weeks after really looking I found my new job.

I’ve now been working for the NFPA for about five months. I have not stopped learning since I started. The certificates got me in the door, but I have learned something new everyday of my position as a LAN Administrator. I am the primary support for Citrix, I have become the person in charge of backups, I help fulfill help desk requests, and believe it or not I am the Mac users support person. I’ve built four servers from the ground up and learned many things about virtualization. Everyday is a learning experience. If you’re a person who wants to keep learning even after going through that ComputerTraining.edu class, then this is the program for you. IT is always changing and will continue to improve. If you want to keep learning for the remainder of your career take a chance and believe in yourself."

"I had a limited computer background before I attended ComputerTraining.edu. I knew the direction I wanted to go in was IT but I didn't have the tools I needed to become successful in the job market. I figured the best chance I had, was to show that I had the desire to become successful. By getting certified at ComputerTraining.edu, employers saw that I had the training and certifications to make me a productive member of their company.

What do I like about my new career? Choices! Before, I only had one choice and that was nowhere. I now have opportunities that I didn't have before. Doors are opening up that where shut before. I like feeling that I am needed by a company because of the skills and certifications I have received. Now I know with the right certification the doors are open.

At first, my biggest fear was, could I keep up with the speed of the course. The staff at ComputeTraining.edu was there for me and all my classmates from the start. They gave each of us the tools we needed to succeed. I took the advice that they offered and before I knew it, I was graduating.

My advice to new students would be to listen to the staff. They know what it takes to succeed. They know what works and what doesn't. Let them help you. That's what they are there for.

I have graduated from the program with a renewed sense of hope for the future and confidence. I value what I have learned and use the skills I have learned to shape my future."

"Prior to enrolling in the program at ComputerTraining.edu, the extent of my computer experience was primarily at home helping my family and friends set up their computers and fix technical problems. I considered getting certified because I wanted to do something with my life and set myself up to earn a great income. The IT field offers that opportunity and the ComputerTraining.edu program was a way for me to launch my new career.

Before starting this program, my biggest fear was that I would not understand what would be going on or that I wouldn't be able to pass the program. After just the first class I was happy to see myself understanding everything and I very quickly began succeeding at my goals.

What I like most about my new career and the opportunities it affords me is that I can now say that I am a computer professional setting up networks and overseeing a large company's network infrastructure. It's a very fulfilling feeling. Before even graduating from the program, I secured a position as a Field Service Technician for a Fortune 500 company. I can honestly say that the opportunities are now endless for me! That is a great feeling!

The best advice I could give to other students or individuals considering the program is to press on and never give up!! I'm proud of my accomplishments and look forward to a successful and profitable career in the IT industry."

"I was stuck in a job with no room for advancement in position or salary. So I decided to go to ComputerTraining.edu where I could gain the technical skills and career service assistance I needed to make a successful career change.

ComputerTraining.edu helped me succeed in getting a secure foot hold in the IT field. The instructors are very knowledgeable in the latest Microsoft products. I learned the theory needed to pass my certification exams and the hands-on training needed to secure a job. The instructor worked very hard to prepare me for my certification exams and it paid off…I am now a Microsoft Certified System Administrator.

In addition, the Career Service staff was very helpful in helping me find a position within IT workforce. Now, I have a career, my income has increased considerably, and I’m doing something that I enjoy."

"Before entering the program I’d had some experience in a help desk environment, but my career path was limited because I didn’t have any certifcations. I looked into several schools with IT programs, but none of them offered what I was looking for…then I found ComputerTraining.edu.

My biggest concern prior to enrolling was whether or not I could do this, it’s a big commitment. But after meeting the staff and seeing how dedicated they were to my success it was an easy choice.

The program was structured and offered training in areas that would allow me to quickly pursue my goal of becoming a Level 3 Help Desk Agent.

Now, there are so many options to me. I was offered a great job with a growing company and a salary that was higher than I expected. I feel like I’m finally on my way. The education I received at ComputerTraining.edu has helped boost my confidence and allows me to do what I love and hope for a successful future.

The best advice I can give to a potential or new student would be to commit 100% to the program. They make it so easy, just follow the plan; study hard, communicate and see the results. "

"I like computers and wanted a way to start a career in technology quickly, without having to go through four years of college. So, I decided to check out my options and I was really impressed with the staff ComputerTraining.edu. My biggest concern going into the program was finding enough time to study while working full time, but everything worked out just fine!

I like the fact that in just six short months, not only have I been able to learn a completely new set of skills, but I am also employed in that field and actually know what I’m talking about!

I really enjoyed my time here at ComputerTraining.edu. The admissions team, my awesome instructor and the Career Services team really committed to helping me succeed. The best advice I can give to future students is be prepared for completely life altering experience! "

"I feel very fortunate to say that ComputerTraining.edu has changed my life – and for the better!

I’ve been working in construction for the past few years making good money, but breaking my back and suffering through freezing winters and way too hot summers. I didn’t particularly like what I was doing and wanted something less physical and more stimulating. I’ve always considered myself to be good with computers and when I heard the commercials I decided to give it a shot.

It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. From the admissions team and my extremely awesome instructor, to the Director of Placement, everyone seemed to care about my personal and professional goals. I’ve never seen so many people genuinely concerned about my success before! It was great to feel support coming from all sides.

Now, I’m working in the IT industry, it’s been a great experience and I’d recommend ComputerTraining.edu to anyone looking to make the jump to IT."
