"I was working in retail for eight years and had achieved one of the highest positions I could achieve at my company. However, I was not satisfied with my career and needed a change, so I decided to go back to school to change my career. The only problem was I had no clue what I wanted to do. A friend said to me "Hey, you are good with computers why don't you check out ComputerTraining.edu, you could get certified to work on computers." So later that night I decided to check it out and I took the Online Skills Challenge. The next day someone was calling me to come in and get more information about the program.
I met with the people here at ComputerTraining.edu and when I saw the presentation I knew this would be a great fit for me. The best part was that I was still able to work full time and go to school, which was a big concern for me. I love that I was able to change careers within only six months! Without this opportunity I would still be stuck in retail and I don't believe I would have ever been able to get out.
ComputerTraining.edu gave me the tools, opportunity, and learning experiences to excel and help start my new career. My teacher, Career Services advisor, and all the other staff were so helpful and motivating. They made me feel like they really cared about my success.
Now I am out in the field and loving my new career. I even had the opportunity to work on Capitol Hill at the House of Representatives, which I would have never had that if it were not for ComputerTraining.edu. I know now that I have endless possibilities with this career and can't wait to learn and grow more within a great company!
My advice to new students is to be dedicated to making time and studying because, all in all, the biggest key to your success is how you push yourself to do the best that you can and make the most out of the opportunity that you have chosen for yourself."

"Prior to entering the course I had a basic understanding of computers; sufficient for my home use but often I would experiment to learn new aspects of how the computer operated but nothing on a large scale. What made me change my career was that I got tired of school; I mean regular school--college. The long hours spent in classrooms and doing my homework were just not for me. I needed something condensed, to the point and with a chance for a career. That's when I heard about ComputerTraining.edu.
What I like the most about my new career path is the chance for growth and opportunities. In IT you can only go forward. Always learning new things, and completing more tests, and obtaining another certificate; this is what ultimately makes you a more valuable and skilled professional.
When I first heard about ComputerTraining.edu I was a little skeptical. I was not sure if I would be able to comprehend all of the material included in the course. I thought it was going to be hard to understand. Soon into the course I realized it is not that bad because my instructor made it easy to understand. Of course, I did not understand everything right away, but once we started working on labs and exercises I was able to see the inter-workings of the networks and everything started to "click".
The advice I have for future students is to not get discouraged. Even if you do not pass a test on the first try, don't put it away. Study whatever subjects you are weak in and go take it again. Some things are going to be easy, some are not. Be persistent and don't give up.
ComputerTraining.edu has shown me that I can make a career out of what I like doing and also make good money. I worked in the construction industry before and I liked what I was doing but with economic situation there was not much opportunity for advancement in construction. Computers are what everything relies on, and with the advanced knowledge and experience acquired at ComputerTraining.edu I'm sure I will be able to progress into the IT field as I gain more experience and more skills."

"I have a background in electronics from the Navy, and was taught how to work on the satellite communications equipment. After the Navy, I used this experience in the building automation trade. I found that I also liked to dabble in computers. My first PC was an Epson XT 8088 processor. I worked for Honeywell and Johnson Controls for about twenty years where I worked my way to becoming a facilities manager. In this position, performing other duties than those in my job description became the mantra. I started to realize I knew more than the average person about PCs. I also came to realize that anything to do with computers was a vocation that was not going away, and that I needed to invest in myself and not in a get rich quick scheme. So I took the Online Skills Challenge, and enrolled in ComputerTraining.edu.
I had many concerns about whether I was making the right choice…time commitment, changing careers, abilities to succeed, family, primary job responsibilities, life! Not the least…would I land a job that could continue to keep me in the lifestyle I was accustomed to and pay my mortgage. I overcame those fears through the support of a loving family, the belief in ComputerTraining.edu combined with life experience and having an instructor that encouraged our striving for success…in their mind, “Failure was not an option!”
What I like about my new career is that I don’t go to work anymore. It was told to me that a person who loves what he does, does not go to work. The opportunities seem endless; everything from more Microsoft certifications to Cisco to Linux to VOIP and everything in-between, everything that can go through a wire it seems must touch a computer.
My advice to those endeavoring on this journey…take it serious, study hard; learn to like 'Cup-a-Soup' and hot chocolate. The course, instructor, and Director of Placement are there to push you into succeeding. It is not only your reputation on the line, but theirs also. I truly felt/believed that they wanted me to be successful, and not just for the tuition.
Everyday at my place of employment, I feel as though I have the tools/skills necessary to accomplish the task, everyday I add to the foundation of knowledge that ComputerTraining.edu has given me. Making this investment in myself was... is…one of the best decisions I have every made."

"My previous computer experience ranged from tinkering at home changing out hardware and providing my own home network support to graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. I had heard about certifications at different club meetings at Purdue where guest speakers were invited to speak. Some of them were industry professionals that enthusiastically opined about the growing importance for them.
I definitely like the work schedule compared to my previous career as a restaurant manager. I also look forward to going to work, which is something that didn’t happen everyday before.
I think that changing careers is definitely a huge hurdle to overcome. I enjoyed many parts of my previous job and was comfortable in my position. What pushed me over the edge, so to speak, was the fact that my pay scale was maxing out and the possibility for significant advancement wasn’t realistic. Something needed to change.
My advice to new students would be to create a schedule ahead of time that allows them to study enough. When you understand a topic and don’t need the extra study time, review a topic that wasn’t understood as much from before.
I really enjoyed the class and the information that I got. My instructor was very knowledgeable and wanted to help us understand. I am able to spend more time at home in the evenings with my family and at the same time improve my advancement and growth opportunities."

"Use the desire to overcome the fear.
It wasn't easy for me to go back to school after so many years. But, I have big goals for my future and wanted to grow as a person. After a lot of thinking and consideration, I finally made the decision and took action to go online and take the Online Skills Challenge. After only a few short weeks, I was already studying hard to achieve industry certifications. Although it took a lot of effort and hard work from me, the classes were energetic which allowed me to stay engaged and learn as much as possible from my very knowledgeable trainer.
ComputerTraining.edu gave me the knowledge I needed to find my current position as a Technical Support Engineer for an industry leading anti-virus software company. ComputerTraining.edu has also has helped me lay the groundwork to pursue the jobs I want to do later in my career.
I highly recommend to those people who like the IT Industry, are ready to make a change and are thinking about pursuing a great future, to enroll and get the training they need to be successful from ComputerTraining.edu."

"I would first like to begin by saying that I would definitely recommend this program to absolutely anybody with any interest. The entire team from ComputerTraining.edu was dedicated to the success of the class from day one, and I was really impressed and inspired by their drive to help all of us get started in IT. I came into this course with a strong personal background in home computing but very little classroom training. After hearing some of the radio commercials, I decided to try the Online Skills Challenge. I was soon enrolled in the course and on my way to my career in IT.
ComputerTraining.edu helped me land a job making twice as much as I was before utilizing my backgrounds in customer service and troubleshooting. I was initially worried about the cost coming into this program, but during the introductory seminar they clearly explained the loan options, and now that my career in IT has taken off I know that cost is no object compared to the great experience and opportunity offered by this program.
All in all I am very pleased with my decision to pursue certification through ComputerTraining.edu. I know that I made the right choice by enrolling in this program, a choice that has set me down a better path. To any future students I would just say study as hard as you can, don’t worry about getting everything right at first, just make sure you understand why you missed what you did and study that. This program will give you all the materials you need to get certified, but only you can provide the work to get it done!"

"I've always had an interest in computers and the IT industry. It was my dream to be able to get into the IT field, but I really didn't know how to pursue it. Not until I heard the ComputerTraining.edu ad on the radio when I was on my way home from work. I remember thinking that I should really do some research about the school and courses they offer. I researched the school, the certifications, took the Online Skills Challenge and even sat in on an actual class session. And, after meeting with the staff I remember thinking to myself, “Somehow, someway, I've got to make this happen.” And that is exactly what I did.
Once I started class I remember thinking, “Wow”, this class is very fast paced. But, that didn’t even matter. The instructor had a way of teaching which made it possible for me to keep up. With the help of the instructor and the interns in the class I was even able to get extra assistance if and when I needed to.
The bottom line - If you apply yourself and do what's needed, you will succeed.
ComputerTraining.edu has given me the training and hands-on experience it takes to start my new journey in the IT industry. They brought the best out of me and gave me the confidence I needed to get started in the field.
This class has opened up a whole new world for me, just as it could for you. If you want to enter the IT field, all I can say is that ComputerTraining.edu is the only place to enroll. But once you start, get ready to work harder than you ever have before. They will truly get you ready to achieve your dreams. I would like to thank everyone at my center. I'm going to do everything I can to make them as proud of me as I am of them!
Thank you ComputerTraining.edu for helping me change my life!"
