"It started by me having a really bad day at work. I had graduated from college four years ago and felt like instead of climbing the corporate ladder of success that I had instead reached my plateau. I wasn’t making as much money I had hoped a 4-year degree would allow me to attain and I definitely was not happy with where I was in my career. I just happened to overhear a radio commercial talking about IT professionals being one of the most in-demand professionals in the industry, and that within a few short months I could be a certified IT professional working in the industry. I went online and researched the program and take the online skills challenge. After visiting the school and meeting with admissions, I decided to give it a try.

I thought I knew a lot about computers before I enrolled in this course, but since taking this course I have a more far reaching understanding of computers, operating systems, networks, and IT infrastructures. Prior to the class, I was worried about being able to commit to six months of class while working my full time job, but the instructors have been very understanding and made things simple for me. The career counselor even helped me find a job before graduation.

Now I’m a lot happier working in a growing field that interests me and making the kind of money I imagined I’d make when I graduated college. If you have any doubts about computers, working full-time or finding an IT job during or after the program, I’m here to tell you that ComputerTraining.edu can dispel all those worries and concerns. For me, it was one of the smartest decisions I’ve ever made! "

"My computer background was basic networking in my home and as a volunteer for a company that I worked for in the past. I wanted to get certified to make a change for the rest of my life so that I could support a family and live comfortably.

I love everything about my new job and opportunities, from the people that I work with to the general environment. It’s laid back while still being professional and work oriented. I have the ability now to go from Tier 1 to Network Administrator in a matter of just a few years.

My biggest fear was that I didn’t know enough to succeed in the program. I didn’t have a very developed IT background, and since it was only a six month program, I knew it would be a real challenge. However, the way the material is laid out, it starts out with a great foundation and builds on top of that to make an excellent foundation for entering into the IT field.

I would tell new students to just relax. Know your skills and use them, but really focus in on what seems new to you. Focus on the things that you aren’t familiar with because that’s the material that you’re going to have to work hardest on. Be open to developing an IT mindset and be ready to troubleshoot your own problems.

This opportunity has changed my career. I’ve gone from a dead-end job making minimal money to almost doubling my salary in six months with a job in IT that has endless potential for growth, opportunity, and most importantly salary! I’ve made a lot of good friends throughout the program that I can now use as contacts for the rest of my life. I’m working with some of my classmates now and am able to build a network and hear their stories and stories they’ve heard about working in IT."

"I was stuck in a dead end job and looking for a change. I have always loved computers and wanted to go back to school but didn't have years to commit to a college program. One day I was on the internet and saw an ad for ComputerTraining.edu. I decided to take the test just to see how I would do.

A few days later I received a call and was offered an interview. That was the beginning of many changes in my life. After six months at ComputerTraining.edu, I have two certifications and am on my way to my third. I have gotten a job with great career opportunities and couldn't have done it without ComputerTraining.edu."

"My computer background was a little more advanced than most people I know. Mostly I worked at home doing repairs, home networking and other such things. Getting certified was something I had thought about in the past but never really perused it much further. Working as an auto mechanic and working at Target was just not where I wanted to be for the rest of my life, and still being young definitely help my decision to make my career change.

My new career is one of the best things to ever happen to me. I love the work that I do and the environment in which I work. The skills that I learned help me each day better myself in the IT field. The skills I have now have opened tons of opportunities for me. I now have a much better understanding of Microsoft and their operating systems, and my skills have helped me with my job search, opening many doors.

One of my biggest concerns was the cost of the course, another was the course itself. Now, after completing it, I have come to terms with the cost of the course. The course in itself was very thorough in detail about just about everything. For as much knowledge as I received in the course the price was definitely worth it.

The main thing about this course is it moves fast. Fast doesn’t mean that you will not be able to learn and complete everything. As long you stay update on your homework and reading, and show up for class, you should have no problem at all with this course. If this is really what you want to do, then just stick with it and in six months you will off to a better career and a better life.

My life is so much more fulfilling now that I have completed this course. I now enjoy going to work and don’t mind staying there and working a little extra. The great thing about being in the IT industry is having job security, knowing that I can move just about anywhere and still find a decent paying job to provide for my family. The skills that I have learned can never be forgotten and will continue to help me the rest of my life."

"Prior to signing up for ComputerTraining.edu, I was in the Army as a “Social Scientist”. I greatly enjoyed this field but always had a passion for computers. During my time in Active Duty, I was more than often the individual people went to when they had computer questions. I felt confident that I knew a great deal about computers, that was until I joined ComputerTraining.edu.

I was opened to a fantastic world moving so fast that even the experts find themselves swimming in a vast sea of new technology and information. ComputerTraining.edu provided me the foundations I required in order to pursue a career in computers. So much so, I have been employed as an independent contractor until recently, as I have left to start my own business.

Some advice to any new students would be to take this opportunity and not settle for the mediocre. You’ll be set on solid ground; don’t choose a position that isn’t ready for you to grow. "

"As far as a computer background, I loved computers. I knew quite a bit about them and how they worked. Experience in solving computer problems was the one thing that I hadn’t thought about making a career in. I helped my parents, grandparents, and friends with their problems, but never thought I could make a career of it. I started out in college, where I was studying more on the programming side of things and I just felt like I was going nowhere. A family emergency pushed me over the edge and I just couldn’t handle the all day classes I had in college. I wanted something different. I knew I liked computers and was always more of a hands-on kind of learner anyway.

My current position is as a Dispatch Technician and I love it everyday. I handle everything from changing someone’s monitor to re-formatting drives and migrating data. The one thing about the computer field is that it is always changing. Any experience a person can gain out in the IT workforce is a plus, and I’m grateful for every minute of it. I’m still working on my MCSA and with the experience I’m gaining at great company in Indianapolis, IN, I feel confident that the sky is the limit.

I really didn’t have any fears. I guess if I had to choose something, it would have to be whether or not I made a mistake. I was still enrolled in a four year university, and I didn’t know if withdrawing from a university and not gaining a degree would hurt me. Truth be told, it was a great decision. I’m working in one of, if not the most respected company in Indianapolis, IN.

The biggest advice I would have to give is to just pace yourself. I had very smart and competitive class and it’s overwhelming sometimes, not knowing everything. But one knows everything. Just respect yourself and know that you can do whatever you set your mind to if it’s really what you want.

The ComputerTraining.edu program changed my life, because I now know what it is that I can do for the rest of my and be proud of it. I don’t have to be ashamed to tell people what I do anymore. Most importantly it has given me enough stability to possibly start a family and buy home. I’m proud to be computer nerd!"
