Student Success Stories
"My main computer background was mostly home use that started back when I was a kid, remember the green screens? Then I progressed throughout the years as new technology was available. I began helping others with some problems they had which my skills were very limited. I considered attending ComputerTraining.edu to gain certifications and advance myself in a better job market and make myself more marketable. Clearly I was not happy where I was in the auto industry and was going nowhere fast doing things I did not like.

The most rewarding thing is to get to serve my country without joining a branch of service; the opportunities are endless working for the federal government and rewarding as well. The skills I have learned on top of my education are invaluable. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.

My biggest fear with attending ComputerTraining.edu was the course pace and materials covered. I was afraid if I didn’t understand I would fall behind fast and not graduate. My instructor made things clear and offered help far superior to any high school tutor I have seen the interns were also a great help.

My advice to any student who is thinking about attending ComputerTraining.edu is to do it; it will change your quality of life in an education sense and a financial one as well. You will be rewarded with a career that you enjoy going to everyday and doing something you feel proud of. If a career change is what you are after, this is the place to gain the necessary tools and skills to exceed in the current IT field of professionals from a small business to mass corporations, IT professionals are in demand. Make the right choice, sign up today.

My overall experience was amazing. I went from a job I didn’t like, to a rewarding career; I look forward to going to the office every day. My quality of life has greatly improved with all credit going to ComputerTraining.edu for getting me on the right path. Working for the federal government has opened new doors of opportunity that I would not have had access to before. It also rewards me with a great salary, with more on the horizon. I feel good about my decisions. My family is proud of my accomplishments. I don’t see any reason anyone would not want to attend ComputerTraining.edu. "

"I was in the military and decided to move into the civilian sector. Little did I know, the job market was non-existent. I woke up one day and realized I had to make a change. I was working two jobs and still not making ends meet. Finally, I realized that ComputerTraining.edu was the answer.

I have always been talented with computers, but never actually received any formal training. At first, I was a little skeptical about the program (it seemed almost too good to be true). Despite my fears, I decided this was the change I needed.

Within three months, I had my first certification and was well on my way to a new career. Now, I have a job I love and that makes me feel useful and skilled. I also make a killer salary and have a future that will take me anywhere.

The staff of ComputerTraining.edu was so incredibly helpful from the admissions process to instruction to the incredible Career Services department, I now know this was the best decision I ever could have made. I would strongly recommend ComputerTraining.edu to everyone who is looking for the time to change your life! "

"My computer background has always been as a "user" at home and at work. I had considered becoming Microsoft certified several times in the past but never felt like I had the time and energy to devote to it. It was finally time for me to follow that dream.

I very much enjoy working with computers and networks and am excited to begin my new career and my new job.

My biggest concern was being able to dedicate myself to the time and discipline necessary to complete this program and still maintain my other obligations. I worked very hard and studied a great deal outside of class. I also found that seeking resources outside class was a very important element. I would tell new students to be prepared to be dedicated and work hard. You cannot absorb this amount of information unless you are. Also, do use your "lab box" at home. I used mine extensively and that made a huge difference to my understanding.

My life looks bright in terms of my new career direction. I am excited and passionate about this new path. I am thrilled that I will be working in a field that I truly enjoy!"

"I had a basic knowledge of computers prior to coming to ComputerTraining.edu. After doing some research, I realized that anything in the IT field would be very beneficial to me. That’s when I considered getting certified. I was nervous about the class because I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into. Since my computer background was minimal, I was afraid that I wouldn’t know enough of the basics to get by. Right from the beginning I realized that it wouldn’t be that difficult to follow along. A lot of the self test questions and reading helped me tremendously. For the six months that you’re in class, you have to be prepared to study a lot and devote yourself to the class entirely.

Before this, I was working in a bakery, going to work at 3:00am, working a dead-end job. Now, I have a government job and things have changed greatly for me. Career Services is really beneficial. Even if you want to change jobs after graduation or change cities, they are still there to help.

I would tell incoming students not to be discouraged by the work load. Persistence really pays off. Now I’m actually making money and doing something I enjoy. Now, I have an actual career, with room for advancement. I’m about to move into a new apartment, and my life has changed completely thanks to ComputerTraining.edu."

"I had very minimal computer experience prior to coming to ComputerTraining.edu, but I wanted to get into IT in order to have a guaranteed career. I was tired of working on a commission paycheck and not being sure how much I would get paid each month. My biggest fear was that I wouldn’t make it through the course and that the material would be too difficult. I wasn’t sure what to expect in regards to getting a job afterwards either. Career Services worked with me one-on-one and listened to my needs, they stuck with me from day one right up until I got my first IT job.

At my new job as a Help Desk Technician, I love my set hours which means I get to spend more time with my kids. When I was working on commission, I never knew when I was going to have off, and all of our plans were last minute. With the new, set schedule, I can plan my days with my family a lot better. I know more about computers now than I did six months ago. I would tell incoming students not to be afraid to take that first step. And if you’re going to do it, you’ve got to put in the hours after class. The overall experience has allowed me to spend more time with my family, which is more that I could ask for doing anything else."

"I have been around and enjoyed computers since a very early age. I always considered working on and with them as a hobby, but hadn’t had any real formal training with them. After feeling like I was stuck in a job that wasn’t leading anywhere and had no real challenge to it, I decided to go to ComputerTraining.edu to get the certifications and skills necessary to turn my hobby into my career. Now I have found a job doing what I enjoy and getting paid for it.

When I first entered the program, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the pace of the class and pass the certifications tests. Once I set the goals I wanted to achieve and made a schedule to achieve those goals, time flew by and I achieved most of what I set out to achieve. It wasn’t easy, but it was well worth the work.

If I had to give advice to new students, it would be to set those goals you wish to achieve and set up a daily schedule of what you need to do achieve those goals. If you follow that schedule and stay true to it and your goals, then anything is possible. If I can do it, then anyone can."

"The only computer experience I had before ComputerTraining.edu was basic home use. I decided to make a career change because of what the economy had done to the construction industry. I was losing hours, my yearly raises stopped happening and I eventually lost my insurance.

With my new skill set, I don’t have to worry about a lay off anymore. It seems like the opportunities are endless if you are willing to put in the work.

The only advice I could give to new students is to ask questions. I felt dumb at the beginning of the course, because I had so many questions about things I didn’t understand right away. I made myself work way harder than I needed to because I didn’t want to ask. At ComputerTraining.edu, the only dumb question is one that isn’t asked."
