Student Success Stories
"Before going to ComputerTraining.edu, I was just an average computer user and had no formal training with computers. I had been attending college and working in a dead-end retail job. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do but knew that I wanted a career in something that had a lot of growth potential. I had researched the earning and growth potential for several occupations and found the most consistent one was IT. I also noticed that most jobs required certifications. Then I heard the commercial for ComputerTraining.edu and decided to take the Online Skills Challenge. I got a call the next day and was on the road toward my Microsoft Certification two weeks later.

At first, I was afraid that I would not do well because I didn’t have very much experience with computers. It was a challenge balancing work, family and study but my instructor, classmates and the staff of ComputerTraining.edu were instrumental in my success. It was easy to get all the help I needed to accomplish my goals. Everyone was very supportive, understanding and helpful. And the bonus is they will continue to assist me after graduation.

What I enjoyed the most about the IT industry was knowing that I could only move up in my career. Having a Microsoft certification has opened a whole new world of opportunities world-wide. I like being able to troubleshoot my personal computer as well as help my family and friends. I like knowing that I will always be able to get a job no matter what. And I like the fact that you have to keep challenging yourself and look forward to obtaining more certifications.

My advice to future students is to study, study, study!! Don’t be afraid to ask questions and communicate with the instructor as well as your classmates. This is a great opportunity not only to gain a career but to make friends and business contacts for the future. Have fun with the learning experience. You will see the gold at the end of the rainbow sooner than you think.

I now have a job that is fun and challenging. It has better pay and benefits than any other job I could have gotten prior to training. And I can only go up from here. I no longer have to worry about the fear of losing my job. I also have specific goals for the future. My life is a lot less stressful. My confidence has grown exponentially. And I made a few friends as well."

"My situation is unique to most that have joined the ComputerTraining.edu program. I have been a business owner for fifteen years, but my company was struggling. I had to find a better way to provide for my family. I had always been involved with technology and for a few years had been struggling with the thought of formalizing my education. I finally took a leap of faith and signed up. It has been the best decision of my life. The technical trainer is one of the finest instructors/teachers I have ever known. The classmates I met in class are invaluable friends now.

Before entering the program I thought I had a pretty good grasp on the field of IT. I found out quickly that I had much to learn, but with the trainer’s knowledge and my classmates team mentality, I excelled. The program is very fast paced and optimizing my study time was a must. If I would give any words of advice it would be this, the program is only six months long, dedicate yourself to the program, go to all of the classes, study hard, and use the resources available to you from ComputerTraining.edu. The end result is well worth the effort.

During class I obtained my MCP. I have passed three tests to date and am one test from my MCSA. I am well on my way to my goal of becoming a MCSE. I was hired by a local managed services provider not even 60 days after graduation. I have been using all the knowledge I obtained from class from day one. My employer is also paying for my continued education on all Microsoft products. Like I said above this is the best decision I have ever made.

I am confident in saying that if you choose to enter the ComputerTraining.edu program you will be well on your way to a successful career in the field of IT."

"I came to ComputerTraining.edu with a good solid background in Computer systems from being a home user. I considered getting certified as my first step towards a career change into the IT field.

The thing I like most about my career is that the new things I learn on a daily basis never end. Also, my new skill set is going to lead to bigger and better opportunities in the near future.

My biggest fear when enrolling was if I was going to be able to come out of this and be able to get a rewarding career to pay my tuition back as well as if I would be able to pass my exams. After doing some in depth research about IT salaries though and seeing the amount of job listings that were out there, I quickly came over came the fear of debt. And after sitting down with my instructor and him telling me what I needed to do in order to pass my exams he assured me that I could do it if I studied hard and put 100% into it, and that is what I did in order to succeed.

My advice to new students is to work hard at it. Ask questions when they arise. Take very good and detailed notes and pay attention 100% during lecture time. Also, if you are having problems the instructors are always available for a few hours before class for one-on-one time. They are very good at keeping in contact via e-mail for questions out of class.

The overall experience was awesome. I was absolutely blown away by the instructor’s knowledge and how they went in depth on every subject that we went over. It has really changed my life/career because now I can take my skills into the job field and be able to demonstrate my in depth knowledge and share it with others."

"I had no computer experience prior to coming to ComputerTraining.edu. I heard the ad on the radio and thought that it might be something I would be interested in. I’ve always wanted to work with computers, but didn’t know where to start, and thought this course might be a good place. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to grasp the concepts and that I might fall behind since some people in the class already had experience. After studying a lot, I realized that I could learn all the same things that they already knew.

I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to get a job, but then after meeting with Career Services, I realized that I didn’t have anything to worry about. I kept getting interviews and eventually landed a great job. Now, I make $15,000 more than I did prior to coming here and couldn’t be happier about it.

Now, it’s comforting to know that I’m working in a computer related field and on the path to the career that I’ve always wanted. This program has definitely changed my life and career for the better. I have no regrets about coming here and encourage anyone to take on this challenge. While it’s not easy, it will be well worth your time and money."

"I had many reservations about trying to change careers. I am 40 year old with a wife and three children. I have worked for the family business since finishing high school and I had no previous computer experience. I came to ComputerTraining.edu and enrolled in the program. I have had to work hard for the last six months. There is a lot information to learn, but the staff at ComputerTraining.edu will do all they can to help you succeed.

I am now working in the IT field at entry level and I have matched the salary of my former job and have better benefits. My advice to anyone who wants to change their life is that it’s never too late to change. I never thought I would have fresh start, but now I feel much better about my earning potential."

"While serving in the United States Marine Corp, I worked as an Aerial Navigator and that left limited opportunities once I was out of military. I knew that computers were the direction I wanted to go with my career. I wanted to be in high demand and more marketable, so I decided to get my certifications. I hadn’t been in school in a long time, and I was nervous about getting back into the classroom and having to keep up with the fast pace of the course.

My instructor was a great resource when it came to any problems that I encountered along the way. I tried to make studying apart of my daily routine, so that I wouldn’t have to cram before tests. I found that reading the material beforehand allowed me to better understand the concepts and to keep up with the pace of the class.

I now work as a Network Engineer and look forward to working with people that have the same interests as me. Prior to coming to ComputerTraining.edu I was making less than $30,000 a year doing something that I didn’t have a lot of interest in. Now, I’m making close to $40,000 with much room for advancement. Attending ComputerTraining.edu has opened many doors for my career and presented me with more opportunities than ever before."

"Before coming to ComputerTraining.edu, I was looking for a place to get my certification training fast. I had done the four year college thing, and had worked in the IT field for over ten years. I was employed as an engineer, but still lacked the certifications to back up my experience to my current employer, as well as, make myself more marketable. My instructor really made the training enjoyable and created a learning environment that allowed me to excel. He followed each student’s progress and was available at all times. He has really inspired me to explore getting my MCT certification.

I can’t say enough about Career Services. The Director of Placement really helped build a foundation for those new to the field to help them hit the ground running. She was really involved every step and handled each student differently based on their situation. For me, knowing that she is there when I get ready to change employers is a big help.

ComputerTraining.edu was outstanding. I can’t say enough about the program they provide. It will definitely change your life and you will walk out with a sense of accomplishment, pride, and confidence. The certifications I have achieved backs up my experience and they push me to add to my list of accomplishments. For me, it was a perfect fit and I would highly recommend it!"
