A Training Center is only as good as the students that fill its classrooms.  If our students are not successful, we are not successful.   Below are just a few of the many student success stories happening at ComputerTraining.edu.

Student Success Stories
"It really never is too late!

As a young man I lost an opportunity to begin a career in the fledgling computer industry and regretted it for many years. I have had extensive sales experience and had become somewhat jaded and cynical about "success stories," so it was with some trepidation that I called after listening to the radio advertisement and was invited for an appointment to discuss the course. I, Michael Beetar, had agreed to listen to a sales pitch! The presentation was flawless and impressive; however, I am not a man of means and after hearing the cost, I could not relate to the cost versus the reward. Some lengthy family discussions and a few weeks passed. My old regrets re-surfaced and I decided that I did not want to miss out on a second chance.

The first three weeks, were worrisome! I was feeling lost and I wasn't coping. I was older than most of the students in the class. But was constantly reassured - this was normal, and everything would fall into place. The cynic hadn't given up yet and, I thought, this was just another good sales pitch. I seriously considered bailing out, cutting my losses and simply facing the one-third bill for the course. With a lot of concern and very positive talk from the trainer, I stayed on and began to see progress. Half-way through the course the Career Services took over, I thought the promises of assistance were too good to be true. I went along, and happily, once again, was proven wrong.

The Director of Placement went above and beyond the call of duty, producing a winning resume that would be good enough for me to send to Bill Gates himself. (Maybe, I should do that anyway!) I completed my MCP and surprised even myself. In ten days, I will take the MCSA test.

I am extremely proud of my achievements and I do not believe that I could have done this with just my family's support. Throughout the course, I found a caring and supportive extended family in the ComputerTraining.edu staff.

I thank you all for the opportunity. Before the course was completed I had secured a part-time, help-desk position, which I thoroughly enjoy. Looking ahead, I have a very solid resume, hands-on experience, and am pursing a career I thought was lost to me.

You have turned me into a believer! Once again, thank you all!"

"Before coming to ComputerTraining.edu I worked all through the construction industry- from framing and finishing to a desk job in a home improvement warehouse. Needless to say, I knew very well that my job would never amount to a career, but had no idea where to go. I had already learned one thing for sure about my future: the traditional four-year college wasn’t exactly for me.

I came here because I had an interest in computers and knew that the IT field would never die out. Other than using them at home, I had no formal training at all. I never took a serious computer class in school, never held a position requiring me to be computer-literate, and until two weeks in, didn’t even know what a “driver” was. Now, I have signed an employment contract with a major IT company servicing clients all over the metro area and in only four months, will be earning nearly double what I was at my former job. What’s even better is that the employer was willing to substitute my certifications for the lack of experience. As of right now, I am the only Microsoft Certified technician in the Atlanta-based office!

Without ComputerTraining.edu, I would still probably be working construction with no benefits, retirement plan or so much as an hour lunch break. I’ll never have to worry about that again. Thanks to all the dedication from myself, my peers, my instructor, and my placement director I am more than prepared to enter the field with no reservations and I don’t plan on looking back. Make no mistake, the course is not easy, even for those with experience in the IT field. But looking back now, in my opinion, I wish the course lasted twice as long because there will never be an end to what anyone could learn in IT. The long nights, intense studying, and monetary commitment don’t compare at all to the outcome.

As one who once sat in that chair, reading those testimonials, and wondering if ComputerTraining.edu was capable of what they said it was- I can honestly say that it changed my life beyond words and I would do it all over again without question."

"One morning while driving to work, I was sitting in my car drinking my coffee. An advertisement came on the radio. I can still remember some of the questions asked, "Do you make less than $50,000 a year?" I said out loud in my car, "Yes." It was as if the advertisement was actually talking to me. I was ready for a career change. That night when I got home I went to www.ComputerTraining.edu. I took the Online Skills Challenge and went to take a tour of the facility later that week. I worked hard for six months. It was definitely worth it.

I am now working in a field with unlimited growth and direction. I still have a few more tests to take until my MCSE. ComputerTraining.edu provided me with the tools and introduction needed in the IT industry to succeed. I couldn't have done it without all the help and confidence from the instructors and other staff members at ComputerTraining.edu.

Thanks ComputerTraining.edu for the push in the right direction."

"I’ve had about seven years in the computer field, but I could never get the higher paying jobs because I did not have the certifications needed. The training and certification I received at ComputerTraining.edu landed me a new job that gives me the opportunity to grow in a field that I love!

My biggest fear was that I would not get my money’s worth from this class…I was wrong!

To all incoming students my advice would be to make sure you keep up with your reading. If you do that, you’ll be fine.

This overall experience has changed my life in a very positive way. It has taught me the value of commitment, focus, and integrity."

"I was always interested in computers and the way they work. It never felt better to me than to help out a family member or a friend with their computer problems, and I seemed to always be the “go-to” guy, when it came to computers. I took computer classes in high school to a certain degree, and after high school I really didn’t know what I wanted to do. After a couple months out of high school I could not decide what I wanted to do still, and I heard the ad on the radio about ComputerTraining.edu. I took the Online Skills Challenge and got a phone call the next day at home. After talking about the program I went in to learn more, and sat in on a class. Everything looked good from what I could see, so I hopped on board.

So far, I have obtained my MCP, and am one test away from my MCSA certification. I never thought about getting these until I joined ComputerTraining.edu. The route that I did take though, worked out amazing. I am now an IT consultant with a company called Miles Technologies. We have multiple clients whom we help set up servers and websites, maintain them, and restore them if needed.

Once again, I cannot speak for all jobs. But for my current occupation, I have used every single thing that I learned in ComputerTraining.edu down to the anecdotes that the teacher had told. My first week of my job was a “boot camp”, or training, if you will. During that training we were tested on setting up a server from scratch, maintaining that server, and learning to optimize performance and operation of it.

I didn’t really have any fears coming into this program because I was pretty much told everything and seen everything that I was going to go through before I did go through it. My instructor was one of the best I have ever had. The only thing I can think that I was wary about going in to the program, was that I was fresh out of high school, only eighteen, and everyone else I saw was older than I. It turns out that the people in class I talked to the most were the older ones. Some advice I would give to new students is to talk as much as you possibly can to both your instructor, and to the Director of Career Services. They are both there to help you out, and help you obtain your main objective, which is the same for everyone, to start a good, successful career in the IT field."

"From my first meeting with the Director of Admissions, to class time with the instructor and receiving unbelievable help from the Director of Placement, ComputerTraining.edu was absolutely a step in the right direction.

Through ComputerTraining.edu and the staff, I have changed my whole profession from a job-hoping construction worker to a job in the IT field. The work is a lot less stressful than any other I have had and the pay is great. I would recommend this course to all my friends and family, that is how confident I am in this school and its ability to change your career for the better.

My advice for new students would be to read as much of the books as possible and take notes from everything the instructor says. Attendance and homework are the key.

Thanks to ComputerTraining.edu and the amazing staff I am more than happy with the outlook of my future."

"I did not have much of a computer background, mainly checking my e-mails and surfing the internet. Even though I did not have much background in computers it has always fascinated me what I thought could be done with computers. Turns out, I was way off because there is so much more I learned in this program that can be done with them. At the time I signed up for the program I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do in my life, career wise. After careful consideration, I knew IT would be the perfect industry for me. In this industry there is never a dull moment because IT is constantly changing and there is always something new to learn. With IT being such a big industry, there is plenty of room to develop and grow within the field. With the skills and knowledge provided to me at ComputerTraining.edu I have been given the opportunity to excel and be a part of this industry. It is amazing how many different directions that you can go within this industry and ComputerTraining.edu was the perfect stepping stone to my future with endless possibilities.

Coming into this program I was afraid that I was not going to understand the information provided and be lost before the classes even began. There were a couple of factors that helped me get through and concur my fear. The major factor was the knowing that my instructor was always there for me no matter what to answer any questions that I had to ensure that I understood everything that we were covering in class. The other thing that assisted me was that I started working hard on the material from the beginning. I hoped that if I worked hard enough I would know and understand this information. These two factors combined allowed me to assuage my original fear.

My advice to any new student entering this program is to not give up. There is a reason why you signed up for this program and with hard work you are able to reach goals that you at have only been dreaming of. Just remember nothing in life that is ever really worth achieving comes easy.

My experience at ComputerTraining.edu has changed my life in so many ways. After all of the sleepless nights and hard work I am still standing and have been able to advance my career and life. This feeling of accomplishment is a feeling that I cannot even begin to express in words. As a person I know that I have changed for the better. I now have an added boost of confidence and I know that no matter what, I can accomplish any dream of mine as long as I am able to put in the effort and willing to work hard for it."
