"I started out about three years ago working with mainframes and punch cards. I took some post-graduate programming courses, but never got my degree because life got in the way. I had been working as a chef for thirty years and family matters caused me to put my career on hold for a while. When it was time to go back to work, I started to reconsider my career path, and whether or not I wanted to be working the late hours that the restaurant industry requires.
Since I had somewhat of a background in computers and always had an interest in them, that’s the direction I decided to head in. Looking through all of the schools in the area, and talking to a lot of them, I decided on ComputerTraining.edu because of the post-graduation support that came from Career Services. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t just get a “first” IT job, but that I would have more support after that and assistance if needed in finding my second, third, and so on IT jobs.
I enjoy the IT industry because it still allows me to talk to and meet new people all the time, but I’m not required to work weekends, holidays and stand on my feet for twenty hours a day like I did as a chef.
I think that new students should consider every opportunity presented to them when looking for their first IT job. My first position was a contract job, which I was skeptical about because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get another job afterwards. However, this position led me to an even better opportunity with great pay, and the prospect of a full-time position. I definitely recommend students get experience any and every way they can while they’re still in class.
This opportunity has allowed me to be in a better place in my life, not only because of the better hours, but there is unlimited room for growth and always something new to learn.

" I had studied computers a bit in high school and started college for Computer Science, so I wanted to get certified so that I could get a better job. My previous job was working with animals, and while I enjoyed it, the money just wasn’t enough to support myself.
My new job is great because it’s a new challenge everyday and the opportunities are limitless. I have a lot more responsibilities now and feel like I’m actually needed on a daily basis. I’m finally maximizing my potential.
I was concerned about whether or not I was going to be able to afford the program and whether or not I would like working in IT. But the more I stuck with it, and after I passed my certification tests, I was really satisfied. The job certainly helped things as well.
If students are considering coming to the program, I would highly recommend it. The time spent here was very rewarding and I was able to meet a lot of really great people.
With my new career, I actually feel like I’m working towards something and am bettering myself. I’m not just working a job, but I have a real career. I’m not just getting by anymore, I’m making something out of myself and my future. "

"I had been working as a technician for a small computer company and have been working on PCs since I was 14 years old. I eventually took a break from computers and the IT industry and went into the food/bar industry. After 4 years working at a restaurant/bar, I planned on getting back into the IT industry. I quickly ran into a problem trying to get a job without any certifications, so I decided to come to ComputerTraining.edu to obtain certifications.
It is great to be back in the IT field! I did not have many concerns before I began the program as I knew what I was walking into. Some advice I would give to those who are completely new to the industry is to really listen to your instructor. They are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. They will help a lot with the high learning curve there will be when making a career change – I truly had a great time!"

"I have been a computer repair technician for 10 years. I decided to go to ComputerTraining.edu to further my career by becoming certified. With my certifications, my customers are confident that their issues will be resolved. Being certified has opened new doors for me and will allow me to continue to grow.
I was not sure about the course at first. I had a conversation with a former coworker who had completed the six month course and had found the dream job he was looking for. That day I went online and took the skills assessment on their website and got a phone call the next day. I went and visited the campus and everyone was very helpful. I was also worried about how to pay for the training, but the people at ComputerTraining.edu made it very easy for me and I was approved for a student loan within a week.
If you like a challenge, this is the place for you. The staff is very knowledgeable and they have the tools that are needed to succeed.
My time at ComputerTraining.edu has given me the direction I needed to take my career to the next level. The sky is the limit."

"I came to ComputerTraining.edu pretty "green". I was able to maintain my own PCs at home and was just an end user at work, where I used to get very mad at the IT guys. The combination of interest and frustration of not being able or being permitted to fix the problem myself, as well as the future opportunities, made me decide to take the plunge and change my career. The commercial I kept hearing about ComputerTraining.edu made me decide to check it out. I believed that this is the way to go.
So far I've learned a lot and landed a job as a Computer Tech, thanks to my wonderful instructor and the assistance from job placement. The future is ahead of us and I will be there!"

"I had some limited computer experience while I was in the military. I have always been interested in computers and I decided that once I retired from the military, I was going to do something that I enjoyed. I figured that getting my Microsoft certifications would be a good start in pursuing my goals.
What I like most about my new skills is that it is opening up doors for me that wouldn’t have been open if I didn’t go through this hands-on training program.
My biggest fears about entering this program were the uncertainty of what life after the military had to offer. I put my future in the hands of the professionals at ComputerTraining.com and entrusted them to get me to where I wanted to be.
This program is fast paced and requires your full commitment. You need to put in the study time and apply yourself fully to this program to succeed. I was putting in more than the recommended self study and I believe that was a big contributing factor to my success.
The certifications definitely helped me get my foot into the IT world and I believe it will help me accomplish whatever career goals I might want to pursue."

"My computer background was just at home computer experience. I considered getting certified because I have always loved computers and wanted to extend my knowledge. I like my new career because it is a job that is actually in the computer IT field. My new skills extended my IT knowledge.
My biggest concerns were because of the fast pace of the program, I would have problems finishing however here I am graduating with a certification. I would tell new students to be ready. This can change your life but you must be willing to work for it.
This program has changed my life and career. I have learned so much knowledge in the field and I have a new job so everything is going very well."
