A Training Center is only as good as the students that fill its classrooms.  If our students are not successful, we are not successful.   Below are just a few of the many student success stories happening at ComputerTraining.edu.

Student Success Stories
"I have always been interested in computers and technology, but somewhere along the way I pursued other avenues. I was in the restaurant business for five years before I found ComputerTraining.edu. I heard the ad on the radio and I knew that this was my chance to turn my life around and do something I have wanted to do for a long time.

I met with one of the Directors of Admissions and she told me about the wonderful program that they offer at ComputerTraining.edu. Once enrolled I had the best instructor that anyone could ask for. Through her careful guidance and training and with the assistance of junior trainer, I learned the many things that were necessary to make it in the IT field.

Not only did ComputerTraining.edu help me get my certifications, but with the assistance of one of their best job placement specialists, I was able to find a job right away using the skills I had learned.

Now just two months after graduation, I am being offered a job at 45K a year! This was all made possible with the help of ComputerTraining.edu. But, this is just the start of my new life. Where else could you go and get such instant results? I am glad that I went to the website after hearing the ad and maybe one day I'll be the one teaching others to further their career. Thank you, ComputerTraining.edu."

"I had achieved a great amount of success in my previous career in sales and marketing management but I was not enjoying the work as I once did. The high amount of travel, the numerous meetings and the dysfunctional interaction between various departments made my choice to find something better very easy. I took my time and decided that Information Technology was where I wanted to focus my attention. I always had a knack for learning software easily and enjoyed the creative aspect of putting systems to work to make life easier. The IT field is so large in scope yet not the line of work for everyone, that it is a more recession proof industry than most.

Starting something new that you have an interest in is always exciting. I was fortunate enough to be offered a position with a company that provides Internet access, cable TV and phone services giving me an opportunity to grow as far as my ambition allows.

My biggest fear prior to entering the program was making sure that I was aligning myself with the right educational institution. I wanted to make sure that I would be supported every step of the way. After evaluating other choices and checking references I chose ComputerTraining.edu. It’s the best choice to make. Not only was my instructor extremely knowledgeable on all topics, but he was committed to my success by making himself available for more tutoring either before or after class and even on weekends. The tuition is steep but there is a commensurate amount of value especially considering they offer a lifetime job placement service that helps with interviewing, resume building and personal presentation.

Enrolling is a huge commitment. Not only in terms of money but also in terms of time and attitude. The pace of the program is swift and the amount of material that needs to be learned can be staggering. After failing my first two exams I was discouraged but determined to find a way, so I changed my study habits and passed my next four exams earning my MCSA in four months.

The overall experience has been very positive. I’ve made new friends and recommitted myself to a lifetime of educational pursuit."

"I worked for the State of New Jersey for five years as a secretary. I have always enjoyed the information technology field because of my father and uncle. I knew six months ago when I enrolled that in the future I did not want to be taking secretarial orders and sitting at the same desk five years from now. So I decided to attend ComputerTraining.edu.

Before enrolling into the program so much went through my mind, especially the cost. Luckily I had the most important person in my life there supporting me. He told me all of the good reasons to go back to school instead of focusing on the mere negative things. So I went for it and it was the best decision I could have ever made! I have my MCP and a certification in using ISA 2004, plus I am still working towards more. On my day of graduation I was called and offered the job that I really wanted and worked so hard to get, which made it the best day ever!

Anyone that decides they want to advance their career with this program should give it their all! It is not an easy course, but my instructor was there to assist me with any questions I had. Studying hard and practicing the labs done in the class at home will help you remember a lot of troubleshooting techniques, but you have to make the time for it with no excuses.

Getting the certifications was just one of my goals while attending ComputerTraining.edu. I wanted to gain as much knowledge as possible for use in my new profession. Working together with my instructor and career services director helped me get to where I wanted to be in the future."

"My first job was at a computer store. I started there as a sales person but quickly moved into the technical services shop. I worked for almost five years configuring, networking, installing, and troubleshooting many different kinds of computers, routers and printers for home users and small businesses. After a personal loss I decided to switch careers and left the computer field for five years. When my other career didn’t turn out the way I had hoped, I decided to get back to what I was really good at, computers.

I knew that with the large gap in my experience I would need additional training and certifications to show I had the skills to do IT work and ComputerTraining.edu filled that need. The hours were flexible so I could work at the same time. They had great career counseling and assistance (I still get compliments on my resume), and the course was condensed enough where I could get certified in only six months.

I got a great help desk job through career services while still enrolled in classes which lead to a much higher paying job in less then four months. In a little less then a year out of school, I am making more then double what I had been making before I enrolled. I now work for a company with a huge IT department and plenty of opportunity to do whatever I want in this field. I now have the framework from ComputerTraining.edu to learn whatever I want in the IT field. My future is brighter and more fruitful then I could have imagined.

I was never very good at school, but the hands on labs, and instruction I got at ComputerTraining.edu gave me the edge and paperwork I needed to get back into the career I knew I would love."

"Being a real estate broker, I've ridden the real estate roller coaster since 1983. With the recent downturn in the market, I knew something drastic had to be done. There was no way could I afford to wait for this market to turn. But, what to do?? It was then I heard the radio advertisement for ComputerTraining.edu to take their Online Skills Challenge.

I was never afraid of the computer. I mean, I was never afraid to have the IT guy walk me through solutions over the phone. So I figured, “Let's take the challenge!!” I took the test. The first level went a lot better then the second. I was actually shocked when I received a call from the school inviting me in for a meeting to discuss my scores. My experience with computers was more user side than anything technical. So, I was elated when they thought I could benefit from this certification training. My wife and I had a long talk and then invited our children in the conversation. We wanted to be sure we all knew the commitment and sacrifice we would all have to make. And that we did.....between working two jobs plus eight hours of classroom a week, there was no time for anything except reading the text, homework and five to six hours of sleep a night. My wife and children were my biggest supporters and my motivation.

My biggest fear about going back to school was finding a job at my age. But I knew if I didn't act now, I'd be older still. What attracted me to ComputerTraining.edu was the condensed course and their 70% placement of graduates in the IT field. I knew I didn't have two years to invest, but six months? Think back six months ago...didn't that time fly by? With my limited computer background, I relied heavily on the instructor and kept up by reading ahead in the text. I was fortunate enough to earn my first certification in five weeks.

The school gave many insights on job interviewing and resumes. In fact, I began working in the IT field one month before graduation, solely on the efforts of the Director of Placement. My greatest fear was put to rest even before the end of the course."

"Before I enrolled at ComputerTraining.edu I had little experience and training. I had tried four year colleges, technical schools and the military. In the short time I was enrolled, I set short and long term goals, then immediately started to achieve them. After being enrolled a few months, I lost the job I started classes with. I had to start searching for a new job two days after Christmas, with a stack of bills on my kitchen table. At the time, it was a horrible feeling, but ultimately turned into a better job with better pay. I started searching for a job with a couple of Microsoft Certifications on my resume. The certifications helped justify my knowledge of the IT field and the Career Services director helped me through every step of the interviewing process.

To say that my enrollment here was a good decision is a major understatement; it is easily the best decision I have made in my professional career. I am still employed at the job I accepted while taking classes here, and I still enjoy the work I do. I continue to stay focused and pursue available certifications. The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary."

"I have always been extremely interested in computers, and Information Technology has always come easy to me. I have had a lot of experience just playing around with computers and fixing mine and my friends’. I did receive an Associates Degree from Columbus State Community College in Computer Engineering, but other obstacles in life prevented me from completing my Bachelor’s Degree. I decided to come to ComputerTraining.edu because I wanted to continue my education, but I wanted to focus more on Information Technology and the curriculum that ComputerTraining.edu offers. I was also getting extremely tired of working at dead-end jobs where I knew no promotion was in sight. I also wanted to do something I was good at and something that I was interested in, and ComputerTraining.edu helped me reach this dream.

I really enjoy working in a Tier III Help Desk position for Time Warner Cable. I am able to help people with what I am good at. I really enjoy that the work I am doing is not as physical as previous positions I have held. My new position is more analytical and I am constantly challenging myself mentally, which I enjoy. Overall, I am just more interested and passionate about what I am doing, and I know there is a big future ahead of me in this career.

One of my biggest fears in entering this program is that I wouldn’t be able to put in the amount of time that the course requires. I do work full time and have a social life so the thought of putting in the extra work was tough for me to consider. I adjusted my priorities in life and realized that this is the career I want. I realized that it would only be six months of buckling down. I really surprised myself in that I was able to successfully put in the required amount of time, and I graduated with a good grade. Another one of my fears was the cost of the program. After completing this program, I do feel that the cost is worth it. I have gained so much more knowledge in Information Technology and I am MCSE certified to show for it.

I would tell new students to be prepared for the fast pace of the course. Don’t underestimate the fact that you will have to work hard and be on top of the course material as much as possible. I would let them know not to expect to just show up to class and graduate, you really have to work for it. If you put in the effort that I did, you as well can be fully certified when graduating the program. I would tell new students to take full advantage of the practice tests because they really help. I would also tell them to just play around on computers with the course material because this was the best way that I was able to learn.

ComputerTraining.edu has changed my life for the better. I feel my life overall is much better, and I am pleased with my success from the program. I now feel that I am on an exciting career-path that will constantly be moving forward. I am looking forward to see where the path will take me next because I am no longer stuck in a rut."
