A Training Center is only as good as the students that fill its classrooms.  If our students are not successful, we are not successful.   Below are just a few of the many student success stories happening at ComputerTraining.edu.

"We have all seen and heard those infamous infomercials about how you can make more money and finally get those luxury items such as a new car, house and jewelry. Well, if you have not heard it by now then hear it is: If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Except for one radio commercial I kept hearing during the fall of 2006. It talked about how if you felt like you were bored or stuck in a dead end job you should go online to ComputerTraining.edu and take a test to see if you could be a candidate for a new career in one of the fastest growing professions in America-Information Management and Technology.

One cold night a friend of mine dared me to take the Online Skills Challenge. After all, they said I have been working with computers at work for years. But this was not exactly the kind of computers I had grown to know. This dealt with the “behind” the scenes of the computer industry. Sure, I knew a lot of software and tons about Bill Gate’s Microsoft. But this was about what makes a computer tick behind the monitor.

I took the test and it told me I did well enough to take another five questions. One night before I was leaving for a cruise my phone rang. It was a representative from ComputerTraining.edu and they told me I had done so well on their tests they would like me to visit the center. I agreed and after my trip I met with the Director of Admissions. She explained to me all about the course and the certifications. It sounded intense especially since it had been nearly twenty years since I graduated from college. But I was hooked and up for the challenge.

I could go on forever about class and what we did and the four hours we spent every Monday and Wednesday night for six months. But I want to tell you what counts and what you will come away with from this school. You may feel you spend more time with the staff than your own family. These are the people who will become your biggest fans and supporters.

There is the instructor. I guarantee you will never forget this person as long as you live. They may be tough one minute and a puppy dog the next. But what you need to absorb like a sponge from this person is their enthusiasm and passion for teaching about computers. I truly believe these instructors teach because they love what they do and most of all relish in the seeing the success of their students.

There is the Placement Director. ComputerTraining.edu does not just stop when you leave class for the night or even after graduation. Their mission continues to help you succeed in the IT world and work with you to find a place to “get your feet wet” in your new profession. Yes, your first job might be a little nerve wracking but once you get involved and see how school was just a bubble that burst into a whole new world of opportunity it is simply an awesome feeling.

I took a dare and made it my truth. After living half of my life, I finally know what I want to be since I have grown up and for the first time feel a pure sense of direction in my life."

"Coming to Computer Training, I had minimal computer experience through various jobs I had worked. I had worked eight jobs in two and half years when I heard an ad on the radio about ComputerTraining.edu. Having always had an interest in computers, I decided to take the online exam and pursue it further.

After successfully completing the course, I learned of a wide variety of jobs and avenues to pursue my new career. Of the many different ways to take my new found knowledge, I chose to start out in a Data Center. Starting out in a Data Center offered me the immediate hand-on experience I needed to gain to put with my course work. I was then able to transfer my knowledge and hands-on experience over to my current job as an IT Specialist.

If I were to give any lasting advice to new students entering the program it would be to attack the course with fervor and to stay the course, so to speak. This is not an easy path to follow but the rewards are worth the time and effort it takes to succeed.

Taking this course changed my life and gave me the direction and focus I was looking for. Without ComputerTraining.edu I would still be searching for the right path to walk."

"Before attending ComputerTraining.edu, my background with computers was very minimal. I knew almost nothing about computers before attending ComputerTraining.edu. I had previously read a few books about computers, but I didn't have any hands-on skills. The two subjects in school that I found myself drawn to were Technology and Math. I had a desire to be someone important in life, and attending ComputerTraining.edu was one of the best decisions that I have ever made to help me achieve this desire.

The thing that I like most about my new career is honestly the money. I also greatly appreciate the experiences of learning new things that challenge me. The training from ComputerTraining.edu has helped me a great deal in my new Help Desk position. After graduating from the program, I started working at a Help Desk position where I started to put my knowledge and skills to use. This job is the first job that I have really ever liked.

My concern before I started going to ComputerTraining.edu was that I knew very little about computers. For me it was like learning a new language, but after time past I started to really understand everything. The thing that I really loved about ComputerTraining.edu was the hands-on training.

Now I have many instances where people ask me how I know so much about computers. I proudly state to them that “it's all because I went to ComputerTraining.edu”. The thing that has really helped me the most is that the classes are not that big, and if you don't get something there is always someone there who can help you with your questions.

My experience with computers has changed a lot. Right now I am working in a successful, big company that is paying me very good money, and giving me great experience. ComputerTraining.edu has changed my life to make a better tomorrow for myself. "

"I came to ComputerTraining.edu program with only an amateur experience level with computers and a deep-seated interest in their functions and applications. My intention for joining in the school stemmed from a desire to my ever-growing in all things IT to work for me acquiring a job where I would develop myself personally through financial security and enjoying doing so.

My greatest concern at the beginning of the program were my felonies I screwed up as a young man and feared I would pay the price for the rest of my life, no matter that I was a changed person however, my instructor was a huge help in that he assured me that others with similar sort of trouble had come through the program, only to go forth and get stellar IT careers. It was difficult but I believed in my instructor and he believed in me. I put my faith in ComputerTraining.edu and was rewarded my first position before I even graduated.

My advice to new students: Do not give up! You will probably see what you perceive as set-backs, just shake them off and continue to go forward-nothing worth having comes easy. Overall, the experience over these last fleeting six months has been a positive and informative one. With the aid of my instructor, I learned how to conduct myself as a professional, and now I am one. Thanks to ComputerTraining.edu, I have the skills and resources to make my way in life and stop wherever I choose. Thank you, ComputerTraining.edu."

"I was introduced to computers early in school and always had an interest of them, but I was never really sure which career path to follow within the computer field. When I came to ComputerTraining.edu they gave me a clear focused career path of what I could expect to learn and be able to do within six months. The idea that I could be making more money in such a short period of time really made up my mind.

I love that I feel very excited and enthusiastic about stepping into the IT world instead of feeling burned out and tired of the same old job. I can’t wait to get out there and put my knowledge to the test and get some hands on experience!

One of my biggest concerns was how I was going to juggle working full time plus attending school at nights. To conquer this, I just had to take it one night and one homework assignment at a time. Six months go by really fast. Coming here twice a week, although stressful, does help you have to be accountable. Don’t be afraid of the tests. It’s better to have tried them and failed then not tried at all.

I feel like I can accomplish anything I set my mind to now. I don’t feel like I’m stuck in a dead end job with no improvement in sight. I’m confident that I can go anywhere and be recognized for what I know. I’ll never be in a place where I can’t find work and my opportunities are endless."

"I closed a printing business I had owned for ten years. I tried to find a job in the printing industry for close to a year. I could not find anything in the income level I needed. I heard the ad for ComputerTraining.edu many times on the radio and took the online test. I knew my way around a computer but knew nothing about networking.

The first thing I noticed when the classes started was how focused ComputerTraining.edu was in seeing me succeed in this program. The second thing I noticed was how knowledgeable the trainer was in the curriculum and how energetic and passionate he was in teaching and helping me succeed. The classes were full of energy. Within three months of getting my first certificate they had found me a position in IT. My new job is exciting, the pay is good and I am learning new things everyday. ComputerTraining.edu gave me everything they said they would and a lot more."

"Before I signed up for ComputerTraining.edu I was working in a dead end job at a pizza shop. I was working six days a week, sometimes with a twelve-hour shift. I was hearing the ComputerTraining.edu commercials on the radio but wasn't sure if I should go for it or not. I thought that it was another useless school. But then one day I had an argument with one of my co-workers before my shift ended. I got in to my car and heard the commercial again. That's when I decided to call ComputerTraining.edu. I took the Online Skills Challenge and got accepted. When I went to the school they told me that the companies are looking for certified people. After the meeting I went home and made a random job search in the IT field. I was amazed by results. Almost every company was requiring a Microsoft certificate. Hands-on training to earn a certificate was what ComputerTraining.edu was offering. I called them back and told them I was interested in the program.

The first day of class I met the instructor and was amazed by the knowledge that he had. He wais so friendly. He knew that the people in the classroom were there to learn and he would do anything to teach them. He is by far the best teacher I have ever had and will ever have. He would know the answer to every question I asked right away. When he would answer our questions he would always give real world examples, which made it very easy to remember. He would not only answer the question but, if it was possible, he would demonstrate it.

After the third month of my training I got my MCP certification and Career Services started to send my resume to companies. She did a great job. She would call before the interviews and check on me to make sure that I had everything all set. She would give me advice even though she and I had already had a mock interview. Everything that we talked about in the mock interview was there in the real interview. The employers would also ask me technical questions, but thanks to my great instructor and his knowledge I would answer them right away. I was getting phone calls like never before. Eventually I was getting job offers and I was able to pick which company I wanted to work with. As soon as I got my MCSA I started to pick the companies that I was interested in. Right now I am a System Administrator for Citara Systems. I can't believe in a very short time my life has changed this much. Thanks to my instructor and career services from ComputerTraining.edu."
