"My computer background before attending ComputerTraining.edu was very minimal. Though I had some experience, it was not enough or “the right experience.” The main reason for me to get certified was due to most employers disregarding my resume due to no certifications or experience.
My new career will afford me the opportunity to grow and expand on the knowledge I already possess. Not only is my new career in the field I went to school for, it’s also in the industry that I feel very passionate about.
Of course, the biggest concern was the financial burden it would hold on me. The best way that I find to deal with this is to understand what I will get out of this program in the future. This program has already opened doors for me that I would not have opened if it were not for my certifications.
My advice to new students is to take full advantage of career placement. They played an active part in my job search and without the help of career placement I would still be in a dead end job making very little money and unhappy. The career placement services are free: utilize them.
Overall, this has been a great experience…very challenging, but great. I have gained skills that will stay with me for the rest of my life and can be used to land that perfect job. Not only do I have a four year college degree, but I will now have certifications to go along with the degree. The sky is the limit for me. I have met so many exciting people through ComputerTraining.edu; I truly feel it was one of the best choices I’ve made in my life."

"Although I had very limited computer experience starting out, I learned computer repair on my own and by reading various articles and books. By doing so, I was able to keep up with the ongoing technology. I would visit Microsoft web sites and did a lot of beta testing with various products. I started out repairing personal computers for friends, family and eventually started to branch out to others. I just couldn't seem to get enough, that's when I knew the IT industry was my true passion.
After working several jobs in various fields, I kept finding myself still wanting to be in the IT field, but where would I go? How do I get there? Who would hire me without experience or certifications? These were questions I kept asking myself on a daily basis. I was on my way to work one day when I heard the advertisement that changed my life. It was for ComputerTraining.edu. They mentioned the Online Skills Challenge and I thought here was my chance to prove what I actually knew. So I took the challenge and was called a day later to come in and talk with admissions.
After meeting the friendly staff and filling out the paperwork, I was accepted into the six month IT academy program. The classes were very detailed and easy to understand. The classroom environment is very professional and comfortable. I was able to schedule the classes around my work. The staff at ComputerTraining.edu was friendly and very helpful through the whole process; help was just a question away if needed.
Upon graduation they even helped me find my first IT position. I now hold three certifications and am on my way to a very promising career. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to pursue a career in the IT field, it changed my life!"

"I’ve been interested in computers for over twenty years and worked on them in my spare time. After having previous jobs, that didn’t give me the satisfaction, I decided to take the Online Skills Challenge. My main concerns about enrolling in ComputerTraining.edu were financial but I qualified for a student loan that’s more flexible than most.
Throughout my training, I discovered that there was quite a bit that I didn’t know, but through the course, I gained that knowledge and how to apply it. Now I have a new job in the field that I enjoy and I’m getting the satisfaction that a person should get from their career. Plus, I have more career options and opportunity for growth in the IT field.
This course is definitely worth the time and effort. It is very rewarding. The course is full of information and can be overwhelming, but it’s set up in a way to ease the flow of information. I would highly recommend ComputerTraining.edu’s IT training course to anyone looking for a solid, profitable and satisfying career change!"

"The first time I heard the commercial for ComputerTraining.edu, I didn’t pay any attention to it but after researching a few schools in my area I decided to check them out. I took the Online Skills Challenge and completed my essay and almost immediately started receiving calls from them. Reluctant to pick up the phone or return their calls in the beginning, I eventually got in touch with them and set up my initial interview. I was impressed to say the least, with the facility, course work and over all package the school had to offer. I did everything I could to make the cut for the January class and started going every other Saturday as early as October just to get a head start on things.
When I started, I thought I knew a lot about Windows XP and by the fourth class, I quickly realized that my knowledge level was extremely low and that I was going to have to put in a lot of time and effort in order to be successful and make this work for me. This program is not to be taken lightly and you really do have to put in just as much time at home with studying, practice tests, and the like as you do in class each night. I figured it was not going to kill me to suck it up for six months in exchange for the rest of my life!
All in all I am thankful I was able to take advantage of what ComputerTraining.edu had to offer. The teachers, career fairs, resume sessions and placement assistance are just the tip of the iceberg. I learned more in six months here, between the books, diagrams, classmates and interns, than I did in the last ten years since I originally took an interest in computers to begin with!"

"I was always that guy who everyone called for computer problems both at work and at home. For years I had been working with computers in my spare time; building systems for friends and troubleshooting issues for them but I never took that “next step” to become certified and make a career out of my knowledge. Through the years, many people asked me why I was working at my previous job and why wasn’t I doing something with my computer skills. After a few years of watching my annual income decline I came to the proverbial sink or swim point and I was unsure what I was going to do to change my situation.
Then I heard a radio commercial for ComputerTraining.edu while on my way home one evening and decided to take their online test to see if I qualified for their program. I took the test and was contacted the next day about my results. I then made an appointment to meet with a representative of the facility to discuss training and certification options. I was extremely nervous to take this step because I simply couldn’t afford to fail so I took some time to think it over after my meeting. Everyone I had spoken to at ComputerTraining.edu was confident that I would be a good candidate for the program, but I still hadn’t convinced myself. A few days later I decided to take the chance and entered the program. I was impressed with the program from the first day; the instructor presented the material clearly and concisely without seeming to hurry through it. Everyone was friendly and the environment was set up to promote learning.
Overall, it was one of the best decisions I have made. I successfully completed the program with all of my Microsoft certifications and had my first interview within six weeks of graduation. As it happened, that first interview was with a company that was too good to pass up. I began working for them and have found myself a promising career full of opportunities for growth and advancement. It’s amazing the difference a radio commercial and a few months of hard work can make. It certainly changed my life."

"I did not have any actual computer background before I chose to join ComputerTraining.edu’s program. I was the guy where if something was wrong on the computer at home, I would just play around until it got fixed, but never remembering what I did. I considered ComputerTraining.edu as my source of education because I loved trying to fix the computer and I wanted to be able to remember what I did and how I did it, and ComputerTraining.edu helped me do just that and much more.
Now having a new career, everything has completely turned around for me. The atmosphere has changed dramatically. The people are so nice and sitting down and working is not so bad either. I can actually say that when I wake up, I look forward to going to work. Having the certifications and education that I have now, there are endless possibilities for me. I can only move up from here.
My biggest concern with going through the program was being able to understand all the information and retaining most of it. The overwhelming part is that there is endless amount of information. So, the best thing for me to do was to just take in everything that I could and when I’m comfortable enough with that, take in some more. My biggest fear was how I was going to utilize this new skill and knowledge for a company. Once I actually got into a position to use these skills, everything started to just fall into place and the people helped out in any case with pride and joy. It’s all one big learning process.
If I could give any advice to new students, it would be to stay motivated, push yourselves further than you ever have because six months does not last a long time and during those six months, your life (if you push for it) will change forever and for the best.
In six months, my income increased by half and that is with one certification. I can only expect bigger changes to occur with more certifications. Thanks to ComputerTraining.edu, I can now afford to do things that I want and be comfortable. That to me is a great experience and my life can only change for the better from here on out."

"Coming to ComputerTraining.edu after ten years in the electrical field was very exciting, but very scary as well. With limited experience in computers, mainly just playing around with them for fun, I wasn’t 100% confident in my abilities. I was able to really find my place in class and I enjoyed working closely with the staff at ComputerTraining.edu. The work put into the training was hard but the outcome was phenomenal. I had to spend many hours studying the material but learned an incredible amount of information. With the instructors help, my transition from electrical knowledge to computer knowledge was very easy, and most of all rewarding. The classroom atmosphere was extremely professional and equipped with the latest technology.
Upon graduation I received an excellent position as an IT consultant where I am starting my career with the same compensation that had taken ten long years in the electrical field. I am so excited and very pleased with the support and help I received from the staff at ComputerTraining.edu. I couldn’t ask for a better opportunity and career path! I am now confident that in the computer industry I will be extremely successful."
