"I have always been the guy that family and friends would call to help with their computer problems and troubles. I had some professional computer experience but not enough to make a career out of it. I was actually working as a truck driver when I first heard the ComputerTraining.edu commercial as I was driving across Ohio at 4 o’clock in the morning and I kind of put in aside thinking that I don’t have time to do something like that. A few months later I was back home in Atlanta and I heard the commercial again and I decided to go check it out to see what it was all about. Boy was I surprised!
When I first entered the school I was greeted by a friendly and enthusiastic person that immediately put me at ease. I really appreciated the way they explained everything and went the extra mile to make sure that I understood the program and requirements. But what really made my decision was my conversation with the teacher. He gave me his real world point of view and explained that this program will go a long way toward helping me change my life for the better, although he was really clear about the point that I had to put forth the effort and study if I wanted to get anything out of the program. He didn’t try to tell me that it was a miracle get rich program and he was honest about the dedication and hard work needed to succeed in the program and in life.
I really love my current job. I was blessed with the opportunity to work at home with a company called Dorian Software Creations as an Integration Specialist. I really feel like and I am getting paid to do something that I really enjoy. It is such a change for the drudgery of driving mile after mile just to make enough money to get by. I am proud of where I am at in life and my wife is proud of me as well. I am taking care of my family and the only place to go is up from here. I get to spend a lot more time with my wife and daughters and I am so happy that I made the decision to go this school; it was definitely a choice that changed my life for the better.
The only advice I have for new students is to listen and study. Listen to your teacher, listen to your Director of Placement . These people are there to help you and if they give you advice then please believe is for your own good. I have found that they really care about the student and want to see them succeed at the school and in life. I feel that when they see a student change their life for the better then it gives them a real sense of accomplishment and makes them proud of the job that they do. Finally: Study. I cannot stress this enough, as no matter how much you listen, you will still need to study. Not only will developing good study habits help you succeed at school, it will help you succeed in life. Also always remember if you don’t understand something don’t be afraid to ask questions as I live by the saying that the only stupid question is the one you don’t ask and your teacher is ready and willing to answer questions to make sure you understand everything.
In closing, I just want to say that the opportunity at ComputerTraining.edu is definitely one that you will never regret. If you put in the effort then you will absolutely be successful the IT field. The wonderful thing about this career field is that as your experience grows so does your salary where you go from here is up to you as there are so many different areas of IT that you could specialize in, the choice is yours. All you need to do is make the decision that you are ready for a change and are willing to put in the work that is necessary. You only need to decide that you are ready for a new life. So what are you waiting for?"

"My background coming into the program was no greater than a basic computer user. I had always wanted to follow a career in computers but went to work for my father out of high school.
After working for about ten years, the state's economy changed for the worse and the family business was no longer a good place to be. After hearing about ComputerTraining.edu on the radio, I decided to give it a try. It was the best thing for me. I instantly felt comfortable in the classroom and with the instructor.
The thing I like best about my new career opportunities is that even though the economy is struggling, the technology environment is growing. My biggest concerns for the program were the learning curve and the amount of work required during the program. I handled this by working hard and studying a lot. The commercials are not wrong when they said you needed to study hard and if you are currently working it will be even harder.
The advice I would give to new students is study, study, study! Also, you should do everything the instructors say. They mean what they say; work hard, study and listen to the wonderful, experienced, knowledgeable instructors and you will do fine!
Overall, the experience has made me realize that with hard work anything is possible. The course has given me more confidence in myself, my abilities and what I can accomplish with hard work."

"After I got my Associate’s Degree in Computer Network Systems, I broke into IT. However, I was not satisfied with what I was doing. I wanted to take it to the next level, but was never given the opportunity. ComputerTraining.edu showed me the path and motivation I needed to take it to the next level.
What I like the most is meeting new people and getting the opportunity to show my skills. It’s a breath of fresh air. Without the help of ComputerTraining.edu, I would be on a road that is taking me nowhere.
My biggest concern was not understanding and keeping up with the material. The instructor for ComputerTraining.edu uses teaching tools to help you understand and keep up with the material.
For anything you want to do in life, you want to work hard at it. For students entering the program, work hard. Working hard pays off.
The overall experience gave me a spark and a new direction. With ComputerTraining.edu, it gave me the motivation and path I was looking for."

"I graduated from ComputerTraining.edu in July of 2008. Previous to that I had worked in network administration and help desk support. I considered and decided to attend ComputerTraining.edu in order to get training on operating systems that I had not been formerly trained in before. When I began attending ComputerTraining.edu I had been out of the IT field for about a year, I was very excited each time a concept began to get explained and I would recollect the information I had known from my previous experience. Covering new areas to add to my skill base, as well revisiting information I had known made this experience at ComputerTraining.edu very fun and very rewarding. Having two children and a wife who depended on my paycheck, while working full time I was most concerned where I would find the time to study. As it turned out the study time was vigorous but also manageable.
I would advise anyone coming into this program to make as much time as they possibly can for study, the more time you put in the more rewarding it will be. I met a lot of great people, my fellow students eager to learn something new, my instructor who was very knowledgeable and an all around great guy, last but most certainly not least my career services individual who worked tirelessly to help me find employment. ComputerTraining.edu was a great experience and most definitely rewarding."

"I have worked with computers but not in depth with them. I am what you would call your “average” computer user.
What I like most about my new career is that it is more demanding. I look forward to coming to work everyday and I get the weekends off. With the skills I have obtained from ComputerTraining.edu, I know my position is secured.
My biggest fear was not passing at least one exam before I was supposed to graduate. I studied hard and kept taking the test until I finally passed it!
Advice I would give to new students is to do all your homework, read before coming to class and please make sure this is really what you want to do. You must be accountable for what you say and do.
The overall experience has made me more efficient with time and made me realize how important knowledge is. If I put my mind to it, I can achieve it."

"Before I went to ComputerTraining.edu, I was working in retail for minimum wage. I was very unhappy with my job. However, I always had an interest in computers. I saw an ad on TV for ComputerTraining.edu and asked around about the school. A close friend who is a network specialist recommended looking into it. I was fearful of going on job interviews when I started. However, The Director of Placement made me feel at ease and assured me that I could do it. After some coaching, I felt much more at ease regarding the job interview process.
I would advise new students to ComputerTraining.edu to study, study, study. It is a lot of information to absorb in a short period of time. My technical trainer was very helpful. There wasn't anything that he couldn't help me with. He was available anytime for any of my questions.
I am currently working in tech support for UniTekUSA. Every day is a new and exciting experience. I look forward to going to work each day."

"Before attending ComputerTraining.edu, my computer experience was pretty basic. I used CAD for civil engineering designing, but not too much along the networking side. I knew I was looking for a career change because I had been laid off twice in the engineering field. I decided to take the Online Skills Challenge for ComputerTraining.edu and my new career in Information Technology took off from there.
Thanks to the help of ComputerTraining.edu, I have recently started my new position as a Computer Test Operator. I love my new position because it is very hands-on and I get to learn new things every day. I enjoy being able to physically repair computers and perform installations. This new career should bring me a stable and steady career where I don’t have to constantly worry about being laid off.
The biggest fear I had before entering the program was that I was worried I wouldn’t be able to complete the course and certifications. I dedicated myself to the program and put in a lot of hard work and it really helped me accomplish my goals. I highly suggest re-reading important material as much as possible until you get the full understanding of it all.
I would tell a new student entering the program to be patient and not expect to learn everything right away. I would recommend putting in any extra work you can and if you have questions ask right away to get everything cleared up.
The overall experience of ComputerTraining.edu has positively influenced my life. I really enjoy my new position and I am looking forward to my next position that I will enjoy just as much."
