Student Success Stories
"Before I started my journey with ComputerTraning.com, I had the most basic knowledge of computers and did not even have the confidence to think I would last in the program.  After working seven years with the Montgomery County Department of Recreation, I had realized that it was not the career I wanted and that I needed to find a career that would challenge me.

I happened to hear about ComputerTraining.edu and decided to look into it.  After looking at other schools, I decided that ComputerTraining.edu was the school for me and signed up.  I was very hesitant to put myself in a position to owe so much money after only one year. In addition, I had not been to college in four years and thought I would be very rusty. But with the help of my instructor, the interns, and the Director of Placement, I was able to get certified and had a new job within 35 days of my graduation.

Anyone that is tired of working a job that may never get them anywhere and has the desire to be challenged needs to seriously look into ComputerTraining.edu.  It is not an easy way out of college, but a legitimate alternative that will turn your life around and jumpstart your new career.  I am making almost twice as much as I ever made working at my old job and I am excited about going to work everyday and look forward to the challenges and adventures ahead of me and I owe it all to the core staff of caring people at ComputerTraining.edu."

Before ComputerTraining.edu, I had very little computer experience. I had an interest in computer and thought my knowledge was about average, only to realize it there was so much more and ComputerTraining.edu did an excellent job teaching the course material. I decided to get certified and make a career change because I realized where I was I was not going to make it much farther and wanted to open more doors to my future with an expanding and demanding field.

I like that in this field there is always new things to learn, and will always have the opportunity to learn. Along with that there are so many different paths to take with technology and the doors that open and lead to new and exciting adventures in this field.

My biggest fear became leaving a job that I was comfortable in and knew that I would always have that job, but after making the commitment to going to ComputerTraining.edu I knew I had to leave everything behind and just go look toward the future, because of all the doors that would open and knowledge that could be gained. With the help of the staff at ComputerTraining.edu they helped you through the tough parts.

Going to a school that only takes six months is not an easy task. You need to be dedicated and certain that this is what you want to do. It is a very hard, but rewarding at the end only if you put in the time and patience. It was never easy especially having little knowledge coming into it, but at the end with the help of the instructor and the rest of the staff that prepares you for the future and job search they help make the transition easier. With their help and positive attitude to go forward, and your dedication to want to make the change and take a step forward in the end it will be the best experience that you can benefit from.

Even though the beginning is rough starting in a new field and gaining experience it makes you a better person knowing that you will never be stuck in one spot, and the opportunity for growth is always there."

"Previously, I worked as a Metrology (Calibration) Technician for various companies. The field was changing and I did not see a lot of room for growth. I felt the best field to be in was IT networking.

Before coming to ComputerTraining.edu, I had never worked with this many people. The whole staff is friendly and eager to help you learn. They are always encouraging you to keep learning through various courses and certification programs.

Before starting the ComputerTraining.edu program, I was worried that I would have trouble being able learning the required material and pass the certification tests. I have learned that you are never too old to learn, and you get out what you put in.

If you really want to succeed as an IT technician, you must read the text and you must study it. It’s not about trying to memorize but actually learning or knowing the material. Do this and you will succeed.

Thanks to ComputerTraining.edu, I feel that I have a future that I can learn and grow in. I now have a job that has continual growth and greater potential income than I would ever have had in my previous field of work."

"I have been involved with computers since 1978 and my abilities have grown with each new operating system, but I wanted to go deeper into my skills and I found out that all I thought I knew was only a very small portion of what can be done with the current Windows operating systems and their capabilities.

I've always liked working on computers and can do much more now. I like the idea of getting into a new career with growth potential and the skills I've learned have given me that opportunity.

Time was my only concern but it worked out. The six months actually flew by. My advice to new students coming into the program is to pay attention and work hard as you will only get out of it as much as you put in.

I believe that the training I received has given me the tools to get into a career that I can grow with and go as far as I want to earn and live the life I want. "

"The moment my interest in computers changed from informal to career changing was when I heard the radio ad for ComputerTraining.edu. The program sounded like everything that I was looking for. I had never worked with computers as a main part of my job. I worked in a human services job and handled all of the basic technical issues that arose on an informal basis.

ComputerTraining.edu was definitely a step in the right direction. After being in the class for a while and actually performing network-related tasks through the labs, I felt I was ready to move from the human services industry to the Information Technology industry. I now work as an IT Support Specialist and love what I do. The Career Services department at ComputerTraining.edu was crucial to my success in landing my dream job. Attending this program was one of the smartest things I did to jumpstart my career in the Information Technology field."

"I have found my training at ComputerTraining.edu to be invaluable. I would have never gotten this far, this fast, without it. I am making more money than I ever have before in an entry level job that includes a company vehicle to take home every night.

The certifications that ComputerTraining.edu prepared me for are not that common in the industry and the level of the training will make you job-ready.

In short, I would recommend this course to anyone who wants a positive change in their life. I have recommended it to my son who will be starting classes soon!"

"When I had first heard about ComputerTraining.edu, I was a production manager for a local manufacturing company. Working outside in the rain, sleet, snow, wasn't what I had in mind for the money I was making at that time. I had been working with computers on the side for a long time and wanted to make it my career but wasn’t sure how. I was listening to the radio and heard the ComputerTraining.edu ads all the time, so I figured I would give it a try. I took the Online Skills Challenge and received a phone call the following day.

I started class realizing it would be a difficult task, but if I worked hard I would be able to make more money and have better job security. I was offered a help desk job during class and ever since then it has been flying full speed with different job offers for more money, and it’s all thanks to ComputerTraining.edu."

"My computer background was really just a general love of computers and playing around with them since I was younger. The main reason I got certified was because of the strength it could add to my resume as well as the opportunity to learn more and sharpen my skills for testing. Since earning my certifications, I know an enormous amount more than I used to which has made all the difference in finding a job.

I like my new career because I get to help people as well as work with computers. It makes me happy when I am able to get someone’s computer working for them when they thought all hope was lost or they would not be able to do it. I feel that there are an outrageous amount of opportunities out there for people with a computer-based skill set.

My biggest concerns before starting the course were the student loan bills and feeling that I would not be able to find a job to pay them back when I finished the class. I decided it was now or never though, and went through with it anyway. It was a good decision as I was able to find a much better job and am happy to say I can now afford the payments easily!

My best advice to anyone taking the program would be to study hard and not to take the tests lightly. They can be very difficult. Even if you fail one or more of them several times, you need to keep pushing yourself to pass them. It is very possible and with the right attitude, it can be done. Listen to the instructor. He was great and helped me out a huge amount with his advice, real world experiences, and can-do attitude that made learning easier and more fun.

The overall experience with ComputerTraining.edu was great. I met a lot of new people with the same interests and goals as myself who were able to help me along the way. ComputerTraining.edu helped me find a career more to my liking and the Career Services department was able to easily help me find a job in the field I loved with a large, growing company."
